Before You Knew My Name is a twisting bonding tale about Alice Lee, the unidentified murder victim and Ruby the jogger who finds her body.

Alice loses her mom to suicide and when she feels like she has nothing left she makes her way to New York answering an add for a rented room. Just when Alice is starting to turn for the positive her life has been taken.

Ruby takes a sabbatical from Australia to New York at the same time to escape the loneliness of her life. She is wrapped up in being the other woman but no longer wants to live that way. Baggage is baggage though and traveling across the world doesn't necessarily mean you won't be weighed down with it.

When Ruby finds the body her whole world is turned upside down the urge to know who this Jane Doe is consumes her. That's when she is invited to the Death Club.

This novel is written primarily from Alices point of view. It is fast paced, a little twisty and Jaqueline gives you a little information at a time making you want to read more. The ending is wrapped up nicely. I definitely recommend this read it is a fun mystery.
